How do I create a product structure?

Basic data > Product > Products

When you have added or selected a product, you can start creating its product structure.

It is possible to build up a certain end product from different components/ingredients. The conversion factors and net weights must be entered correctly. If you wish to work with the production and/or specification module, you should also check the net quantity at product level under the tab "Production" and on the tab "General" under "Supplier product".

To get to product from supplier: Go to : Supplier -> Linked Products -> Select the product -> General tab -> Net weight per unit

Creating a product structure

Open the Product Structure tab at : Basic Data > Product > Products

  • The following screen will open :

  • The automatically filled in fields in this screen:

    • The field "Parent": Will contain the product for which you want to build a structure

    • The field "Last modification": Will contain the date of last change in the product structure

    • The field "Type of report": This will show whether it is an automatic or manual reporting (For more information go to "Type of reporting")

  • The fields to be entered manually in this screen:

    • The field "Component or co-product": Here you need to select whether it is about a component of the entire product or a co-product

  •  

    • The field "Product": Here you can select the component/by-product from the existing product list

    • The field "Processing aid": Here you have to select whether it concerns a processing aid or not. This relates to the declaration.

  • When all fields are filled out a box will appear at the bottom in which you have to enter the quantity. Click on each product to open it:

  • Fill in all required fields
