How do you calculate the grain component in Quasydoc?

In Quasydoc it is possible to calculate the grain component of products. By default, the necessary settings are off.

  1. Activate the calculation of the grain component at company level:

Go to Local administration > company data > Parameters > Specifications and tick Percentage of grain component calculation. Save the setting.

At product level, an extra tab will now appear under calculated values with 'grain component'. Here the % grain component is calculated per component and final product.

2. Conditions for calculating the grain component

  1. The ingredient must be marked as "grain component" (see point 3).

  2. The source of the ingredient must be entered in the specification. If this is not the case, you will get the following message: unknown source.

  3. The product may not be indicated as a processing agent.

    1. If a processing aid is indicated, the cereal components in this product are excluded from the calculation.

  4. If grain component calculation under the product structure contains a check mark, the cereal components are included in the calculation.

3. Indicate ingredients for which the grain component should be calculated

  • Go to Specifications > Specification management > Input fields.

  • Open the list of basic raw materials/ingredients.

  • Indicate the checkmark in the column grain component if the grain component is to be calculated.

  • Then click on save.

4. How do I exclude certain products from the calculation?

If certain grain components are added to a product as e.g. decoration, they should not be counted. To do this, click on the Skip grain component calculation check box.

If this check mark is placed in a semi-finished product, Quasydoc will extend this check mark to the highest level in the product structure.
